Current U.S. Airport carry-on regulations: 
Travel-size toiletries (3 oz or less) that fit into ONE quart size, clear plastic zip-top bag.
Prescription liquid medications, baby formula and diabetic glucose treatments in excess of 3 oz. IF they are declared to TSA officers at the security checkpoint. 
Safety razors, including disposable razors.
Scissors, metal, with blades shorter than 4 inches.
Lighters (which are NOT allowed in checked luggage.)
ONE box of strike matches (also not allowed in checked luggage).

Southwest Changes Boarding Policy

Proof of Citizenship Soon to Be Required

Starting Jan 30th, 2008, all adult travelers will have to present proof of citizenship (such as a birth certificate or passport) and proof of identification upon entering the U.S. via land and sea ports, including Canada.
