Abby’s Hope Chest

A few years ago, before I knew the difference between a hand-plane and an airplane, I promised our girls that I would build them each a Hope Chest.

The plan: on each girls’ 12th birthday, I’d take her to pick out the lumber.  The “journey” began on January 21, 2006—Abby’s 12th birthday.
