Bearing in mind what’s worked for you and what hasn’t worked, I’ll encourage you to develop a step–by–step action plan to meet your opportunities and goals. What makes my service unique is that we practice an integrative approach to nutrition, which means that we look beyond food alone to the ways that all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to eat more for comfort? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we talk it out and consider how all parts of your life affect the whole.
Everything is “food.” Healthy relationships and friends in community groups, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and a spiritual or inner practice are essential forms of nourishment. When these “primary foods” become more balanced, what you eat becomes secondary.

Narrated Video Presentation

In it I show the scientific evidence that health and healing can be supported by eating more unrefined plant–sourced foods, and by getting exercise. My book Healthspan was written as a public service. The book is available for free download from HealthspanBook. The bulk of the book consists of a great many tips and issues regarding health–seeking. Summaries of major points are listed in the introduction, as well as a brief description of a weight–loss diet in addition to the full chapter on that subject.
Guided Relaxation Recording
When one takes ten to twenty minutes a day to breathe and relax, it is easier to remember that the weather inside can be different from the weather outside. Listening to a recording helps redirect busy thoughts to engage in the relaxation method in a relatively short time. My free “Progressive Relaxation” 8 minute recording is at Relaxation.
