Rare player instrument; Uilani 5-String Tenor Ukulele. These ukes are tremendously difficult to find but make some of the best player instruments out of Hawaii. Custom made in 1995 and in all original condition. Hawaiian Koa back and sides with spruce top for exceptional projection and smooth long tones. Ebony fretboard, bridge and pick guards. Beautiful cutaway for extra reach and geared tuners for precise tuning. Tortoise shell (faux) binding around soundboard and a sound that is both smooth, warm and yet crisp on every note.
This is my player instrument. Sorry not for sale but I wanted to list the photos for all of your to enjoy and see the wonderful builders out there. I’ve never owned an Uilani before so this is my first but it’s a great player piece and I wanted to share the information with you all who love different builders.

ウイラニのとても珍しい５弦のテナーウクレレです。とても手に入れにくいもので、ハワイ産のウクレレの中でも最高級のプレイヤーウクレレの一つです。これは１９９５年に製作されたカスタムメードのウクレレで、すべて製作された時の状態で保たれています。ハワイアンコアがボディーのバックとサイドに使われており、トップはスプルースです。トップがスプルースな為、音がとても大きく、きれいに響きます。フレットボード、ブリッジ、ピックガードにはエボニーが使われています。カタウェーなので弦の低い所まで手が届きますし、ギア式チューナーなのでチューニングも正確にできます。鼈甲のようなバインディングがサウンドボードに入っています。音がとてもスムーズで温かく、きれいに出ます。このウクレレは私のプレイヤーウクレレなので売りには出していませんが、この素晴らしいウクレレ、そして製作者を知っていただきたく、写真をサイトに載せています。
