CLARENCE SWIGGINS Sometimes known as Swig, born in Springfield, Ohio .rised in Detroit,Michigan.Joined the U.S. military at an early age,served in Korea,Japan,Thailand,Viet Nam, Hawaii.Stateside duty stations.......Colorado,Virginia,Texas,DC...California,Maryland,just name a few.Begin radio career at WQXE FM in Elizabethtown,Kentucky,1970,went on to do a jazz program in Sagion,Viet Nam,operated a mobile disco company for six years,which ended when I left Honolulu after spending 33 months at Tripler military hospital as a medical laboratory technician,arrived in San Francisco in December 1976,and after serving 20 years in the military,retired and remained in the city by the bay.revived my broadcasting career at KPOO FM radio,while working on my AA degree in broadcasting Arts,later at San Francisco State University where I recieved a BA in Speech Commincations.My involvement in television came in 1994,I was a broadcast camera operator for 9 years,still involved on a limited basis.Working on documenteries in video,once weekly,doing 5hrs of music dj-ing on KPOO FM radio 89.5,streaming audio 24 hours @kpoocom.
