Poems by Students from B2-7
January was a month for learning about and writing poetry.  Students analyzed different forms then tried their hand at penning their own.  The aim was to write poems that appealed to the senses and used evocative diction.  A wide range of verse was created, from simple rhymes to complex, stream-of-consciousness confessionals.  Students used Garageband to record their favourite pieces, then added layers of subtle sound over top to accent the language.  As usual, you can hear the buzz of the classroom in the background which, while not ideal, gives a distinct feeling of “being in the room.”
