If you ever have the pleasure of meeting him, ask Rodrigo Chavez if you can play the cowbell.  He will give you an audition, but it will all depend on your performance. In short, I have a completely new appreciation for the humble bovine homing device.

    Last week, students from rooms 202, 206, 207 and B2 had their chance to learn not only about the Latin music and instruments, but also about dance, voice, coded songs, standard rhythms, drumming, history, geography, math, science and more.  The recording you hear on this page is some snippets from the workshop.  

    After all, what began as a Drama and Dance session  became a cross-curricular explosion.  EVERYONE worked hard and learned a lot.  Like the earlier workshop for the Juniors, it all culminated with a rocking performance in the gym on Friday afternoon.  Thank you, Rodrigo, for bringing a wealth of talent, knowledge and experience to our school!
