THE EVENT OF 2006!
Well done! You are one of the lucky ones who has come across the finest opportunity for fun and frollicks 2006 has to offer.
Gorgeous people dressed in their finery, a great bar in the middle of town, incredible competitions, fantastic prizes and.... a little bit of racing. Snail racing that is.
Plus, as well as having the best night of your life, you will also be helping the lives of others as the entry and money raised will be going to support Mencap, the UK’s leading learning disability charity.
It is happy hour from 6-8 so just hop over straight from work. We will be adding more details to this page over the next few weeks and - of course - some info. on our slithery friends so you can work those odds!

BYO - SNAIL / SLUG / BEETLE...
Loads of people have been asking if they need to bring their own snail.
We hadn’t thought of that... till now...
So - while we will be (very humanely) finding snails for two races there will be one ‘free’ race where people can bring their own!
So - if you spot a particularly athletic looking gastropod then there is no reason you can’t put it into training yourself.
We will have a holding area for all competitors if you need somewhere to put it pre-race.

For anyone worried about the snails themselves I am in charge of health and safety and will make sure they all get back to a cosy garden at the end of the event.
(Phil is half French and has been mentioning sauteing a bit too often for my liking...!)
WIN THE BEST DRESSED PRIZE
We have a ‘races’ theme but realise that it may be hard to wear a dress, jodhpurs, dobbin outfit etc at work.
Dressing smart shouldn’t be too hard for many people (well aside from me!) but if you really can’t - then if all else fails - bring a hat!
Awards for the best dressed, the person who tried the hardest with their costume.... and best head gear!
