Keoki Kahumoku
Keoki Kahumoku is true Aloha. A fifth generation Hawaiian slack key guitar artist and the only four-time Hawaiian music Grammy award winner, Keoki has continued his family legacy by bringing his personal love of Hawaiian music and culture to people around the world. He just added his second solo release 'Rise and Shine' to his catalog of recordings. Among those are two Grammy award winning slack key compilation albums, one he won with his father George Kahumoku Junior, and three other duet projects with Herb Ohta Junior. A farmer, pig trapper and one with the land, he lives on the Big Island of Hawaii sharing the music and culture of his ancestors with the children of our next generation. Founder of the Kahumoku Ohana Music and LIfestyle workshops, he is able to share his passion and give back to the island communities. Keoki also tours year around across the United States, Tahiti and Japan sharing his renditions of Hawaiian classics and his own personal and family stories that have inspired his own contributions to Hawaii’s music.
