Miss Dixie the Hardware Dog.

   Owner Sally Coe says Dixie comes to work every day with the rest of the her family. She even has her own job at the store -- she greets customers -- asking only for a nice neck scratch in return. And she's quick to alert her co-workers to an emergency -- such as someone eating their lunch and not sharing with her. So if you're planning a trip to the 158-institution in downtown Pensacola, be sure to bring along a nice treat for Miss Dixie.

Charlotte Gordon, who with husband Ben owns Aragon Wine Market, introduces her No. 1 employee -- their dog Clouseau.

The new neighborhood business is holding weekly wine tastings on Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m.  and plans special  pet events (pets invited!) in the year in their courtyard.

Penny and Mark Lang, who own Koala Mattress in Pensacola, get a lot of help from their dog Harley.  The one-of-a-kind in Pensacola custom mattress-making biz is on Fairfield.
