TALKING PAINT

While I have always worked with my hands, I started working exclusively with paint and canvas three years ago when my youngest child entered school. I make a variety of square and rectangular place mats, nested containers, vases, shoulder bags, floor containers and floor mats.

I make these orange or red shoulder bags for carrying food or baby items. They are treated with a flexible veneer so they can be wiped clean! These are small nested containers, three to a set.
The vases I make in the center of this photos are very popular. I make them in red, orange, and yellow backgrounds with a variety of floral cut outs. The large containers are typically 18h x 26 wide and have removable inserts or an internal wire structure. They are great for holding toys. The chickens in the photo don’t come with the containers. Place mats are square or rectangular. I typically make them with a variety of patterns that you can see in the table runner to the right or with the abstract floral design to the left. The blue square design is one of my favorites. You can find me at art shows this season in Pittsburgh and Washington DC.
