Consultancy 2009-10

We deliver on site consultancy to specialists and non specialists.

As an example, in 2007 we were engaged as a consultant by Knowsley Music and Performing Arts Service with a brief to enable the service’s curriculum support staff for work with children in special education.

The consultancy took place on site in a named special school with curriculum support staff from the music service observing and team teaching. Our objectives were to pass on techniques and processes that were age appropriate, accessible and took into account individual strengths and enthusiasms.

Eventually Music Service staff took over the delivery of sessions in the school. As a result of this training the special school now buys in a full day’s curriculum support from the music service.
