“For over a year, Susan Kaplan has provided remediation to children who are students in the Catholic elementary school where I serve as the Special Needs Coordinator. From our first meeting, I have been impressed with Susan's professionalism and her expertise with the Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes. Her dedication to her work and her deep personal concern for each child and their learning needs is inspiring. Susan appreciates children's many strengths and uses them to build further success. With a firm incentive plan in place she encourages her students to work toward their academic goals. Any family who works with Susan will greatly benefit from her knowledge, compassion, and skill. I highly recommend her.”

“Susan Kaplan worked with our son twice weekly for two years. She was consistently prompt, well organized, upbeat, and flexible regarding our various needs. Not only was she able to develop a rapid and deep connection with our son, but she was equally adept at interfacing with the school personnel and at communicating with us regarding his progress. We feel so grateful to have found Susan and feel that she is largely responsible for our son's improvement academically. Even more importantly though, with her help and skillful way of lovingly making learning fun, he is now a very confident student who, in spite of his challenges, feels smart.
Noah just walked into the room and I asked him to say something about Susan: Without hesitation, he said, "She improved my spelling and writing skills and helped me a lot with homework. It was fun and she always has fun prizes for motivation and most of all, she is very kind”.

“Susan Kaplan worked with my daughter for two summers on Math (using the Lindamood-Bell On Cloud 9 program) and Comprehension (using the Lindamood-Bell Visualizing and Verbalizing program). Susan is highly competent, caring and thorough in her approach and was extremely dedicated to my child’s progress. During both programs, my daughter was engaged and excited about learning. By using themes and examples that were relevant to my child, Susan crafted a program that felt personalized; one that my daughter could call her own, track her own progress and celebrate her accomplishments.  Susan’s incentive programs worked well to encourage practice outside of the sessions. In addition, she loves kids. I would recommend her for either of these remediation programs.”

“Susan Kaplan was an absolute pleasure to work with. We transitioned to Susan from our previous learning specialist. During the transition, my daughter, Hope, had the opportunity to work with Susan alongside her previous learning specialist – so the transition was quite smooth. We continued to work with Susan twice a week for a year in the Lindamood-Bell Visualizing and Verbalizing program for comprehension – with a focus on increasing Hope's vocabulary and memory skills.
Hope is very confident in her newly acquired skills, and at this point, none of her schoolwork is being modified. Because of the continued work on memory skills, she is no longer considered deficient in short-term memory! That is a huge leap for us! Hope’s teachers can see the difference too.  We are so proud of her. Thank you Susan!”

“From my perspective, Susan Kaplan's greatest gift is her genuine and deep desire to contribute to the academic and emotional lives of her students – namely the ease and enjoyment in which they learn to read, spell, comprehend and/or calculate. I believe that Susan is fully committed to teaching in a way that creates a productive alliance with the children in her practice. I have seen her consistently build a solid rapport based on trust, safety and delight in the significant gains made. I have also seen her extend herself consistently to her students' parents by supporting them in understanding their child's educational process. I am also impressed by her willingness to continually educate herself and bring new methods and insights into her clinical work.”
