Luigi Allemano is an animator, musician, composer and sound designer based in Montréal. His work has appeared in Oscar-nominated animated films, television series, Juno-Award winning commercial recordings, jingles and film soundtracks.

September 2008

Luigi is delighted to join the staff at Concordia University’s Mel Oppenheim School of Cinema to teach animation.

August 2008

Luigi composes music for Vancouver Cultural Olympiad with Vid Cousins and Kid Koala.

July 2008

Luigi set to compose music and sound for the fifth edition of NFB Animation Hothouse.

June 2008

Forming Game, the new NFB production directed by Malcolm Sutherland, features music by Luigi.

May 2008

Luigi awarded a Grant to Professional Musicians from The Canada Council for the Arts to pursue advanced studies in music composition.

Luigi remixes Sonobe Blues for Alison Loader’s stereoscopic animation installation piece Folding.

The NFB commissions Luigi to compose original music for the animated film Forming Game, directed by Malcolm Sutherland.
