is derived from the Revised Common Lectionary & faith calendar (liturgical year) which is used by many church denominations around the world. The layout (as well as purpose) of each weekly reading is taken from the book, A Guide to Prayer.  Each new week begins on Sunday.  We are currently celebrating the Season After Pentecost in year B of the lectionary cycle.  The following reading is for Proper 27 (32)
