During the course of the Civil War the Anderson Zouaves were brigaded with five other regiments, the Fifty-fifth NY - Gardes Lafayette, the 93d PVI - Lebanon Infantry, the 98th PVI, the 102d PVI - the Washington Infantry and the 139th PVI. The history of these regiments has much in common with that of the 62d NY and a study of those histories can help inform our understanding of the Anderson Zouaves.
In pursuit of a better understanding of the history of the Anderson Zouaves you will find below links to websites which are dedicated to the history of the Anderson Zouaves, the other regiments of the brigade and to the Civil War generally

Judith Haller’s site was no doubt the first on the internet to be dedicated to the Anderson Zouaves. It has some interesting pieces of history on it but has not been updated for years, and the webmaster, Judith Haller, has not been contactable for many months.
