                The cottages are situated in Angus, within walking distance of the North Esk, between the regions 
                of Tayside, main city, Dundee and Aberdeenshire, main city, Aberdeen. We are rural but not remote.
                You can walk a short distance to get your Sunday newspapers.  
                Angus is ideally situated for access to the North, South & West by road, rail & air (Aberdeen & 
                Dundee both have airports)

               There are many beautiful beaches nearby, St Cyrus Nature Reserve, Lunan Bay & Montrose 
               Beach, for example. Rivers, North Esk & South Esk   for salmon & trout fishing.

             Carnoustie  (25 miles) Championship Open course
                                    The Royal & Ancient    for Open Golf tickets & information

             Brechin        (4 miles) A cathedral city, has a selection of shops and amenities. 
                                       Brechin Castle is the residence of Lord & Lady Dalhousie. (open to the public during the summer)  
                                       Brechin Castle Centre & Pictavia ~ visitor centre. Food, Gifts & Garden Centre                                         
                                       
                                       Town House Museum and of course a golf course. 
                                       There are also equestrian facilities at Brechin.

             Montrose     (10 miles) is a busy coastal town, with 3 golf courses a variety of shops, supermarkets, 
                                       hotels & restaurants.
                                       Montrose Basin Wildlife Reserve  
                                       The William Lamb Studio. 
                                       Montrose Museum. 
                                       Lovely beach front and expanse of beach. Montrose has good rail & bus links.

             Edzell           (4 miles) Golf course. Scenic village often wins the ‘Village in Bloom’ competition.

             Fettercairn  (5 miles) in Aberdeenshire . Distillery. 
                                       

             Kirriemuir    (15 miles) Birthplace of JM. Barrie ~ author of Peter Pan.
