Mike D. Reviews the Granquartz Slab Trolly

SELF-LOCKING TROLLEY
(FROM GRAN QUARTZ)

Summary
I bought this dolly to allow us to move huge pieces of granite kitchens into our jobs in high-rise condos. It makes it much easier to maneuver in and out of the elevator and also saves our installers backs!

Specs:
Overall Width: 21”
Overall Length: 19” (not including handle)
Colour: That beautiful orange!

Details:
This dolly allows us to set a piece of 1 ¼” material in it and then wheel it to where we need to go. There is a V-groove that you set the piece into and when the weight pushes down, the two arms on the sides ‘grip’ the piece. The V-groove is 19” long. We had a 3”x3” - 1/8” thick angle iron cut at 60” to set in the 19” V-groove so it will hold much bigger pieces. We have set 72” pieces with sink cutouts in the 19” groove. We have taken 102” pieces around using our 60” angle iron in the 19” groove. The weight limitation is set at 880 lbs. If moving a huge piece, we get a second person to steady at the front end. This is awesome if you have a long way to carry a big piece or for high-rises. You can move around houses and apartments easily, and of course it fits through every doorway! There is a kickstand that moves up when moving and down when you need a break! You can put up to 3.9” in the ‘grip’. We have put two 1 ¼” pieces in back to back, but it is difficult to get it out, so I don’t recommend it.
