I bought this a-frame on a cart mainly for our jobs in high-rise condos. It saves multiple trips up and down the elevator since we can load several pieces on it at once, making one trip, and it all fits in the elevator!
Specs:
Overall Height: 62”
Overall Width: 26”
Overall Length: 60”
Colour: That beautiful orange!
Details:
This cart allows us to load several pieces of material onto it, so we can take a bunch of pieces from point A to point B. The a-frame allows for up to 11” of material (about 8 pieces) of 1 ¼” granite on it. The height of the a-frame back is 32”, so you don’t want a piece higher than that on this. I would put a max size of 72”x32” on this to go in an elevator. It has a weight rating of 1,500lbs. There are three tie-downs that use a quick tighten method. This all fits through a 28” door! We load the pieces onto the cart, use the quick straps to tighten them in, and then wheel it to the elevator and into the rooms or wherever we need to go! This unit works best with pieces up to 6 feet long (for elevators). The bottom of the a-frame is 21” off the ground. We use it mainly to load up 8 vanities or small kitchen pieces and then take the whole cart up to the appropriate floor. This unit saves us time and money since the installers do not have to carry a piece at a time, they take 8 all in one trip! (Easier on the back too!) Here’s another great part! The a-frame comes out, and we insert a piece of plywood and voila! You have a pull cart to haul around anything you want! The inflatable wheels make it great for ‘offroading’ or uneven surfaces. The a-frame itself also has hooks for use with a crane, however I personally would not load it and try moving it with a crane.
