The funeral service for Robert F. Schwake will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive Street, Arlington Heights. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, and from 9 a.m. until the time of services on Thursday, at the church. Born April 24, 1920, in Evanston, to Fred and Adelgunda (nee Fandrich) Schwake, he passed away Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, in Libertyville. Robert founded Schwake Stone Company in 1946. He was an active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church for over 50 years. He served in the Army during World War II. He also was past president of the Building Stone Institute. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Harriet A. (nee Lindemann); his daughters, Barbara (Gary) Grom of Kildeer, Carole (Spencer) Hodgson of Lake Barrington and Donna (David) McNulty of Libertyville; his grandchildren, Shelly (Matthew) Kirby, Bryan and David Grom, Stacy (Steven) Stern and Robert and Casandra McNulty; his great-grandchildren, Jordan, Caroline and John Kirby, and Sawyer Stern; his sister, Lorraine (Clayton) Smith of Galien, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews.
