In a few hours I’ll be on a plane to Italy (actually first London, then Rome). I’ll be gone a month.
The photo above was taken 12 years ago and I love it. I’m standing in front of one of several castles that Federico II di Svevia, the Holy Roman Emperor also known as “Stupor Mundi”, built in Puglia. He is a fascinating man.
The trip will fun, it will be educational, it will be useful, and hopefully inspiring; but it will also be somewhat emotional because we are taking my parents’ ashes to their final resting place in my mother’s family tomb in the town of Torremaggiore, where they met during the war.
The photos below will mark the plaque where their ashes will be placed.
Talk to y’all in a October.
