Believe and Peace will emerge

I Believe I Can Fly

I used to think that I could not go on
And life was nothing but an awful song
But now I know the meaning of true love
I'm leaning on the everlasting arms

2-If I can see it, then I can do it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it

1-I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly
(Oh) I believe I can fly

See I was on the verge of breaking down
Sometimes the silence can seem so loud
There are miracles in life I must achieve
But first I know it starts inside of me
(repeat 2, 1)

Could I believe in it?

St. John’s Remembers
On the 5th anniversary of 9/11 the 8th grade students led the study body in our first school-wide prayer service. This year’s 9/11 Prayer for Peace focused on creating peace within ourselves, within our classrooms and within our school in order to bring peace to the world.

The 8th grade’s theme of “Believe and Peace Will Emerge” was represented by their class symbol of the butterfly. During the service, students from each grade presented prayers of peace and were given a symbolic butterfly to post in their rooms as a reminder of peace emerging within our lives. The photos that follow are of the prayer service. Let us remember and be peace makers.
