In an effort to grow our visual storytelling industry right here in The Shoals  - movies,  films, music videos, photography, and all the allied digital arts - the Film Commission of Northwest Alabama - has launched its own office dedicated to making it easier to get this type of professional creative work done right here in northwest Alabama.  

 

Hugging the banks of the Tennessee River these four creative communities  - Tuscumbia, Sheffield, Muscle Shoals, and Florence, Alabama - are collectively known as...THE SHOALS .  The FILM COMMISSION OFFICE is housed in the Shoals Chamber of Commerce and our Commissioner is  JOANN MAXWELL - who’s principle goal is to help make your experience shooting in the Shoals... downright excellent!  

 

Providing easy assess to production facilities information, equipment rental, local crew, actors, locations, and great southern cooking,  Joann also has a speed dial connection to all four police department/mayors offices to make the FREE SHOALS MOVIE MAKER PERMITTING as easy as “sound...speed...action”
