Steven M. Goldsmith was born and raised in Miami, FL. His first acting role was in the 3rd grade playing Pinocchio in “Pinocchio”; he can still recite the opening monologue. From that moment on, he knew that performing was the only thing he wanted to do.
Spending his middle and high school years devoted to school shows and Florida theatre competitions, Steven’s love of acting grew. It was not, however, until he saw the national touring company of “Les Miserables” on an 8th grade field trip that he discovered singing and acting could be combined. From then on, Steven was committed to honing both disciplines.
Steven later went on to earn a B.F.A. from the University of Miami’s theatre conservatory program. Since graduating, Mr. Goldsmith has traveled the world performing. From cruise ships, European/national tours, New York and regional theatre, to television, film and commercials, Steven’s career has run the gamut of the entertainment industry. He’s worked with Liza Minnelli, Jon Secada, Richard Maltby Jr, Robert Cucciolli, Christiane Noll and Des McAnuff to name a few. Currently, Steven can be found performing the role of Joe Pesci and understudying Frankie Valli in the Tony Award winning musical “Jersey Boys” at The LaSalle Bank Theatre in Chicago.
