Welcome to Friedman Flyers Surfboards. I started building boards in 1968 at Con Surfboards, Venice Beach, California. I then moved to Maui, Hawaii, where I lived and surfed for 10 wonderful years. Always building boards for myself and friends.

In 1980 I met my wife and best friend Jill, who introduced me to Australia. We live on the east coast of Victoria, with some of the most consistent surf in the country in my backyard. A great place to keep developing my designs in Long and Short-boards.

I build all surfboards from start to finish assuring a real custom board to suit each individual.
