I received the book The Nazi Hunter as a gift from three Jewish Deaf families (Rattner, Cohen, and Michalowski) in honor of my retirement from government service. One of the first things I did in starting my retirement life was reading this book. Once I got started, I could not stop reading it from the beginning to the end in two days. Immediately after I finished reading this book, I decided to share it with my friend Dr. Gene Bergman and ask him to write me a review which is now being published for the first time on this BOOK REVIEW website. This is what he wrote:

The Nazi Hunter by Alan Elsner (Arcade Publishing) is a novel about Mark Cain, a federal investigator, and his dogged search for proof that a famous singer from Argentina is in reality an SS officer implicated in the mass murder of thousands upon thousands of Jews in Belzec, Poland. Mr. Cain, the Nazi hunter, is an Orthodox Jew who wears a kippah (yarmulke), observes the Sabbath, and prays every day. In the course of his investigation, Cain acquires a girl friend. This is a tightly plotted story where each new twist of the plot acquires its own logic. A good read. Fast-paced, well-informed about Washington politics.”
