To provide life-changing opportunities

for underserved children and their

families with a special emphasis on

recreational activities in Childersburg,

Alabama, Gerald's hometown, and

Charlotte, North Carolina, Gerald's NBA

playing city.

Gerald was inspired to establish the Foundation, in part, by his experience helping to restore the Phyllis Wheatley Community Center gym. The Foundation is intended to help centralize and coordinate Gerald's charitable efforts.

This year The Gerald Wallace Foundation is again hosting

children affiliated with local charities at the most popular

Bobcats' home games. The Foundation also supported rebuilding a playground for Urban Restoration in Charlotte (pictured to the right)
