About the Prints...

The smaller (11.75 x 8.25”) photographs in this exhibition were printed in the artist's studio using pigmented inks. The paper is a Moab washi paper imported from Japan: Washi Unryu 55. “Unryu” is often translated as cloud dragon. The paper is mold-made by ninth-generation paper makers, and is derived from the bark of the mulberry tree, containing conspicuous inlaid fibers which rhyme visually with the organic shapes in the photographs.

Both the 48" and 24" large-scale photographs were printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Professional paper on a Durst Lambda Printer by PC Colour in Los Angeles. I relied upon veteran printer Peter Chang at PC to provide technical guidance during the creation of these prints, and the fine quality of his work is evident. (Thank you, Peter!)

Thanks to all who attended the reception on November 18...thank you Bill Forth, for providing a sonic counterpoint to the images...details >>>Reception.html
