How often should we expect to hear back from our partner school?

Hopefully, your partner school will prepare a package for your school each time an Ixim mission trip is taken (usually once a year, during the summer months), just as we hope you will do for them. A missionary will carry the package from your partner school back to the states for you to share with your students when your school year begins.

Even though contact is not made on a more frequent basis, it doesn’t mean that your partner school can’t be in your thoughts and prayers daily! You can remember your partner school in your school mass intentions and classroom prayers. Also, use the Lessons & Links page of this site and your own creativity to incorporate the themes of solidarity, immigration, corn or coffee production, and Guatemala into your lesson plans. And money can be raised as an outreach project and wired to your partner school at any time of year.
