Me in a Nut Shell
My goal has been to create artwork through whatever medium inspires me. My first years in New York City I co-founded a theatre company called TELEOTHEATRE. I served as the scenic & costume designer, and on occasion contributed music.
I have worked as an art director and scenic artist in film & TV, including: Seasame Street, Crank Yankers, Tommy Hilfiger’s The Cut, The Late Show with David Letterman and Tim Burton’s academy award winning, Sleepy Hollow.
I worked at SPAETH DESIGN, designing and painting animated dioramas for many NYC department stores. This lead me to collaborate with Michael Allen on MACY’s one-of-a kind, award winning, pop-up book windows in 2005.
I have designed several restaurants; “9 A Coffee House,” Johnny Tejanos and the ZAGAT Guide & NY Times recommended CHESTNUT, in Brooklyn, NY.
Currently I am the Scenic Charge Artist of the Juilliard School where I have designed for the Drama and Dance divisions. I pursue a very full Design agenda, which has lead me to design New York Theatre Ballet’s production of Mother Goose and to assist on the recent Broadway productions of Spamalot and the upcoming Shrek the Musical.
