Last week I climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge which was a fabulous experience (click here for report and pictures). And this week I won my first ever professional writing award: I was named Best Business Technology Journalist at the Media Connect Asia Business Technology Journalist Awards 2006--the event was held at Pulai Desaru Beach Resort in Malaysia (just north of Singapore)...they gave me a plaque, an mp3-player thingie and a big crystal star which I'm sure I'll plunk on my boss's desk during my next review. I made a brief speech thanking MCA, Vignette (who sponsored the awards), and the principals: group publisher Robert Ferguson, editor Chee Sing Chan and senior reporter Sheila Lam. Thanks again.
