A Little Bit About Mr.M
Aside from being the self-proclaimed “Master of Space, Time, and Dimension,” I have been teaching mathematics in Lakeville, MN since 1998. In that time, I have taught almost everything from basic skills math to PreCalculus, but my love in teaching is for AP Statistics. I look forward to sharing my interest in the subject with students each and every day.
“A little learning is a dangerous thing; Drink deep or taste not the Pierian spring.” I am a firm believer in being a lifelong leaner. So, following in the footsteps of my father, I am currently pursuing licensure in Educational Administration and hope to continue my work with students and staff in the role of assistant principal or principal in the not-so-distant future.
As of January, 2008, I have accepted a “Teacher on Special Assignment” position in the Department of Teaching and Learning for Lakeville Area Public Schools. I will be acting as the “Assessment and Accountability Coordinator” for the district. While I am saddened to leave the classroom, I welcome the new challenges and learning this position is sure to bring!
My wife, Anne, is a first-grade teacher at Crystal Lake Elementary in Lakeville. We have a daughter, Addison, a son, Aidan, and a beagle, “Snickers”, that keep us quite busy! When we aren’t busy grading papers or planning lessons, we enjoy spending time together as a family - biking, hiking, playing games, or working on the never-ending list of home improvement projects.
Like Father....Like Daughter...
