What do you get when you cross a rotary cutter and lightening speed? Eight stitches. And here is a quirky little fact for you - not many people in our local ER know what a rotary cutter is. And I thought it was such a common tool.
I’ll spare you any further gory details. Suffice to say I will be slowing down when using a rotary cutter in the future and I will make sure to stop and find my NO SLIP ruler rather than just grabbing whatever is at hand.
And what was I cutting?
Was it a truly inspired piece for my next collection? Was it something I was so passionate about finishing that I had to hurry before my head burst from the idea? Was it part of my entry for Project Runway?
Nope. I had a few spare minutes so I had just deconstructed the Anthropologie catalog received yesterday and I was neatly but quickly trimming the pages to hang on my inspiration board.
I would write more but I am a little short-handed. ;-)
My thought for today.....slow down.
Experience is a hard teacher because she gives the test first, the lesson afterward.
