Xining is a big city. A capital of Qinhai Prov. Very modern and clean city, 2300m high above sea level. Once belonged to Tibet.

青海省の省都西寧（シーニン）は大都会だ。標高2300メートルの高原の街は、かつてチベットに属していた。
I met one guy from a small village near Lhasa. He is a Tibetan and used to be a monk. Now he stays in Xining for his learning English. I learned many thing about Tibet and Tibetan people from him. The situation of the people as well.

そこで一人のチベット人青年に会った。彼は幼い頃修行僧として過ごし、今は西寧で英語学校に通ていた。かれからチベットに関するいろいろなことを教わった。
Xining is the start point of my trip to deep eastern Tibet.
