Sankofa Series: Photo Exhibition
Monday, March 31, 2008
I want to thank everyone that came to support “The Sankofa Series” Photo Exhibition. I’m usually reserved about my thoughts about success, but this was definitely a success. As always, I was able to take some inspiration from the event. Seeing so many of my people both continental and from the diaspora in attendance and doing their thing in their chosen professions was a blessing. My only regret is not being able to get them all in one photo. Also thanks to my cousins, aunt and uncles and long time photography mentor Daddy Dennis for making the trip.
I set out to share my experiences in Ghana with friends and family, and today was the first of many future exhibitions to come. I have a lot of work to share.
I also want to thank the good people at Bacchus Wine Made Simple for providing the wine. Many thanks to Ms. Florence Mensah for preparing the delicious Ghanaian food and Amy Ruths for the Soul food.
