Stacie Stukin is a freelance journalist who was born and raised in Los Angeles. Her by-line has appeared in Time, the Los Angeles Times, Elle and Elle Decor, Vibe, the New York Times, and Conde Nast Traveler. She likes to cook and considers herself an old-fashioned general assignment reporter. She has written about HIV, prisoner rights, organic and unrefined sugar, bling and buttocks augmentation surgery. She’s interviewed Owen Wilson, Lenny Kravitz and Sarah Jessica Parker, moguls like Gerald Levin and gurus such as B.K.S. Iyengar. When she’s not writing or gardening or cooking, she practices yoga. This spring Stewart Tabori and Chang will release a book she wrote with Natalie Chanin of Alabama Chanin called the “Alabama Stitch Book: Contemporary Stories, Lessons and Projects Celebrating Traditional Hand Sewing, Quilting and Embroidery.”
