We leave Tobermory in the sunshine of a calm morning, swing past Coll and carry on via the Treshnish Isles. Basking shark swim slowly around the reefs and rocks. We meet a cruiser at Staffa where they are going ashore to explore the amazing rock formations. Seen in the context of the rest of the coastline, this uniquely dramatic basalt island never fails to impress. We found another cruiser in Tinker’s Hole off the Ross of Mull, enjoying the peace and quiet of that superb anchorage amongst the red granite rocks.
