Displayed very early on in my book, this set of four ladies represent the Emerald, Topaz, Amethyst & Ruby.  I find this an odd combination, or maybe just the inclusion of Topaz at the expense of Diamond or Sapphire.  This could so easily be a set of four plants as each of the girls is seated with a some flora to match the color of their respective gems.  But I guess it gives that little extra touch of ‘Nouveau’.
