Cyndi Lauper & Erasure: highlight of last nights NYC ‘True Colors’ tour stop
Cyndi wowed the crowd with her hits and “proved her voice has only grown stronger and more poignant with age.” Highlights included a “slowed down, honky-tonk-ish ‘She-Bop’ (which) made you half expect to see a tumbleweed roll across the stage during the song’s trademark whistle breakdown.”
Erasure also gave the crowd what they wanted and stuck to the hits - including ‘Chains of Love’, ‘Oh L’Amour’ & ‘A Little Respect’. “...Lead singer Andy Bell seemed to be having as much fun as the audience, which leapt to its feet midway through the band’s set and remained standing for the rest of the night.”
Oh ya, and Debbie Harry pretty much sucked.
