MISSIONARIES
MISSIONARIES
The United States is the world´s third-largest unreached nation with over 195 million unreached people. After over 27 years on the foreign field, God called us back to America to win souls among new immigrants and ethnic groups.
Please take note of this important change!
SEND OFFERINGS TO:
We´ve been asked to serve as Missionaries-In-Residence at Crossroads Church, one of our Twin Cities area partnering congregations. We will encourage them in their missions and evangelism programs. In turn they will assist us administratively by issuing receipts for the donations our supporters send us.
From now on please send tax-deductible donations to us with your check made out to Crossroads Church. On the check memo write: “To Every Nation Ministries” If you send offerings automatically through your bank, please inform them of this change. Thank you!

Our previous mission agency Bethany has ceased to handle our donations, as they focus on overseas ministries. Therefore, a change of affiliation was necessary when God led us to return to the U.S.A.
As you have noticed, we chose To Every Nation Ministries as the name for our new Stateside outreach to ethnic groups and new immigrants. Later, we expect to incorporate as a non-profit.
Lupe, a Hispanic businessman in his mid-30s, paused thoughtfully, then continued saying the words of the sinners' prayer as I led him to Christ. "Jaime (Jim)," he said to me in Spanish afterwards, "Do you know why I stopped as we prayed? I just remembered that today is the anniversary of the death of my grandfather, who raised me as a child in Mexico. He was a strong believer and always urged me to follow Jesus, but I never took that decision until today!" Pray for Lupe, who has leadership qualities, as he is discipled in the ways of the Lord.
Another exciting development is our new partnership with Global Harvest Church, a congregation of Twin Cities internationals. They have made friendships with 60 Hispanic families in their neighborhood and have been praying for someone like us to help them develop a new Spanish-speaking church. They have asked us to serve as their Pastors of Hispanic Outreach, and we are thrilled to help them in this project!
We continue to partner also with Bethany Church. Our links with these pastors provide us with valuable spiritual counsel and accountability.
FALL 2008
The Lord is giving many wonderful opportunities to share Christ with immigrants from Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. God told us to return to the States in spite of a fruitful ministry overseas. Why? We are starting to see how our own long experience as foreigners gives us key insights how to show God´s love effectively to those from other countries who live legally or otherwise in the United States. We are finding these people respond and open up to us. We kind of understand some of their struggles. Pray that God will help us win many immigrants to Christ and plant cross-cultural churches among them.
We started meetings at a Hispanic home in South Minneapolis.
Martin (left) gave his heart to the Lord. He said, “This is what I´ve been waiting for all my life. I will never turn my back on Christ.” Pray for Martin.
Evangelistic Bible Studies
These Hispanics often work two or more jobs to make ends meet. Finding times to meet together is a struggle. Pray that they would experience a strong spiritual hunger to know God and His Word.
We invited the Hispanics over for a picnic and afterwards held an evangelistic service in our back yard.
Jim volunteered to teach English as a means to win Hispanics to Christ. This is an excellent way to build trust, as learning English is seen by many of them as a high priority.
Great-Gramma Ruth Billman went home to be with the Lord at the end of 2008. Ruthie in enrolled at Normandale Community College. Daniel (below) studies engineering at Letourneau University in Texas. He is also serving in the Army Reserves.
In her spare time Martha is developing a home business to augment our support. Check out her website at www.joynthenet.com. I am proud of her hard work. My studies through William Carey International University inch onward toward the goal of a PhD. in International Development.
Johnny´s buddies Alex and Aaron from Spain (above) visited us with their mom Monica. Here the boys pose with Twin Cities pastor and strongman, Jeff Warner. We maintain contact with our dear brethren in Spain, and God continues to move in their lives. We miss them and they miss us.
Ruthie and Anne Carolyn
Thank you so much for your love, prayers and financial support. Please keep standing with us! The past months of transition to living and ministering in the States stretched our faith and energy more than we expected. In the unsettledness of our move we haven´t written to you much. Thank you for your patience.
We pray for our donors regularly. Now we need to add more faithful support partners to our team. If you don´t give toward our ministry, would you pray about doing so on a monthly basis? May we call you in a few days to ask you personally?
God bless you!
It´s a great joy for us to be together again as a family in the States. We often see Elisa and Matthew Berry and our grandson Judah. Matthew is a computer engineer.
Michael and Laura Woolridge and our new granddaughter Archangela Constance Joy have stayed with us for a few weeks while the baby was born and as they prepared for a job relocation. Now they´ve moved to Montanta where Michael is working in the oil fields there. We miss them, but Montana is still closer to us than Spain was!
Crossroads Church´s pastor talks about us in this video.
