About Me
I was born on March 14th sometime between cave drawings and computer animation. My childhood planted my feet from the sands of Hawaii to the hiking trails of Mt. McKinley in Alaska. Being a military kid had it’s perks. I had also gone to at least 6 different schools by the time I started high school in TN.
In college at TN Tech a lot of students started writing to pen pals during Desert Storm. Unlike most of them, I married mine. Jimmy and I now have three children and an evil 13 year old cat named Narmer. My dream pet is to one day have an Irish Wolfhound. Our favorite family outing is a Redbirds baseball game. Second level, behind the net. See you there.
I went back to college when Jimmy got out of the Navy and earned my art degree at Austin Peay in Clarksville, TN.
Go Peay!
Yes, … I know. That’s ok. I’d rather cheer on the great drawings I see each year. I love the look on a student’s face when they realize they can draw so well. I’ve enjoyed teaching art at Southwind since 1996.
