1.Check your photos for dirt, lint, or smudges. Gently remove surface dust and dirt with a soft brush or lint-free photo wipe.

2.Check the scanner glass for lint, hair, fingerprints, or smudges.

3.Always scan in RGB color, even if the source photo is black & white.

4.Scan your photos at a minimum of 300dpi (Dots Per Inch) if the photo is near 8” X 10” or larger. Photos smaller than 8” X 10” should be scanned at 600dpi if you are going to request a large print from us.

5.Scan the original image and save it as a jpeg file, number 10 compression (highest quality).

6.Please use the name of the person in the file to “Name the file.” (Example: Shelia Wilson.jpg) Using the name of the person for the file name is important because we need to be able to link the .jpeg file to your order.

7.If you don’t have a scanner, you can always take your photo to a local FedEx Kinkos and ask them to scan your photo as an RGB (color) at 600dpi jpeg file.
