God is with Me
“God is with me” is fantasy art I created to capture a spiritual state-of-mind and heart. In real life, this woman is going about an ordinary day when something happens insider her. Unexplainably, a great feeling of peace and presence seems to take over the moment. In a deep state of peace she seems to know with the clear-mind-of-Soul that, “God is with me.”
Here, the woman is sitting on a rock in a mystical field beside a stream that seems to be dropping off into a unseen waterfall. Above her is the hint of other worlds, mystical mountains and other starry souls in this small corner of heaven. Even the moon is alive and sends an arched current of love her way. The lone tree in the distance is the promise of her life to come. It will grow into an amazing tree whose branches reach into even higher heavens and many souls will come to rest beneath her protective branches.
Into the rock is carved, “God is with me” (click on the detail image). I like to imagine that she is basking in the rays of an amazing spiritual source that is radiating life, light and the healing, loving forces of God. This sacred moment feels like a part of eternity, perfect in every way.
Imagine that she takes a snap shot (wouldn’t it be nice) of this inner experience, then frames and hangs it on her wall. Looking at this art daily, she is reminded of a deep spiritual truth “God is with me.”
So this art was created with the idea that when you see it on your wall, a silent prayer is created and the recognition that, “God is with you in all that you do.”
Creating the Art This art started with a photo shoot of my good friend Ula, one sunny day on an ocean shore in La Jolla, California. Some of you might recognize the rock she’s sitting on. It’s about a block south of Children’s Cove on a ledge overlooking the ocean. This shot of Ula was taken during sunset.
The fields, mountains and water were shots taken when I was jeeping with my younger brother in the Colorado Rockies. This art took several weeks to complete.
