A rough beginning  My first spiritual experience that I can remember was at the age of two when I woke up outside of my body aware of being Soul with a sense of where I came from. I guess you could say that it was the opposite of the near-death experiences you often hear about where a person’s heart stops and they find themselves above their body looking down.

Professional life  I’ve worked as a consultant in graphic design and art director for over 30 years now with an uninterrupted career in the fitness and health industry. The last 10 years were spent as a lead designer for a large fitness company taking care of their extensive advertising needs in four countries. In all my design work, I tried to “sneak” into the photo an abstract creative quality that spoke silently to soul saying that we are something more then just the physical. I gave the model a subtle glow of light with a beautiful abstract background that spoke of the flowing presence of spirt. Then I’d add their commercial offer over the art. Just like life, in the many ad projects I created, a deeper understanding lay below the surface.

A dream is born In late 2007 I ended my career as a graphic designer in the fitness industry, although I still do work for non-profit religious groups occasionally. I felt a bit empty inside wondering what to do in this last section of my life. I woke up one morning from a dream with SoultoGOD.com and an idea for a website business that I fell in love with, spiritual art custom made to order. This website is the birth of that dream. The style of art I do was developed in my years of painting, commercial and non-profit religious work. It’s also an indirect reflection of my spiritual experiences and the way I’ve come to see life.

What is my faith? It’s my viewpoint that we are all dancing on a thin sheet of ice above the presence of a God that is so pure and wonderful.  Read more...
