ABOUT NEW VOCAL DEMO

I believe in seeing a creative vision through, especially when it takes overcoming setbacks and obstacles. "Lepers of Wisdom" was inspired years ago (1999) when I was living in Seattle, WA recuperating from a near fatal collision with a car while crossing the street in a cross walk. With two unsettling moves from Seattle to San Diego and back again to tie up legal and personal loose ends . I returned to to Southern, CA in 2003, with more one more residential move in LA. I finally landed in a place where all my creative endeavors and energies could have a chance to coalesce. I returned to my long awaited vocal demo project. "Lepers of Wisdom”. The vocal demo was finally recorded and engineered in September 2007 - on Labor Day weekend by sound mixer, sound sculptor and musical composer Benny Sanches in Echo Park, CA. 

"Lepers of Wisdom" will be my most recent vocal work to date following my first vocal debut on "Otherworld".

Cinematic electronica and downtempo trip-hop beats support the vocal dubs on "LOW". I was attracted to compositions created by some of my favorite musical artists and composers; The Dust Brothers "Fight Club Sountrack", John Powell "The Bourne Identity Soundtrack", Molasses "Conversations with My Sanity " from Ubiquity Records and composer and musician Graham Reynolds (Golden Arm Trio) “A Scanner Darkly” . Haunted by vivid story-lines and song ideas from recordings made specifically for feature films, I decided to put together a vocal demo that would showcase my lyrics, vocals and phrasing and my love for cinematic, experimental, down-tempo, trip-hop electronica based music.

The songs on "LOW " musically explore dark, mythic, psychic, ecstatic, erotic and fairy-tale like terrains; prayer, life after death, sexual ecstasy, longing, prophetic dreams, inner transformation, profound healing, visions, visitations and societal epidemics such as sexual abuse and child hood abductions.
