“11:11” COMMENTARY

The story is about a young girl who is visited nightly at 11:11 pm by magical beings. Within a minute she is taken on a spiritual journey that will liberate her from dark experiences she encounters in her waking life. It’s a child-like dream filled with fairy-tale creatures, where everyday landscapes become a surreal and dangerous terrain.

11:11 is filled with my love of Mysticism, Shamanism, Native American spirituality, Greek mythology, comedy and tragedy, Pagan celebration of nature and the rights of passage, children’s fairy-tales, Greek Orthodox imagery and icons, and religious and peasant ceremonial regalia from ancient cultures.
