Chuck comer photography

My interest in photography began long before my first photography class (W/Harry  McKnight) as a junior at Columbus East High School. But I didn't get serious until after my football playing days at Bowling Green State University & Buffalo Bills. Teaching and Coaching Troy High School (Ohio), East Lansing High School (Michigan), and Professor of Health Physical Education & Recreation and Football Coach at Western Michigan University and Kalamazoo College.

As a player, coach and then after scouting the different sports you get an idea as to what's going to happen next. It's the ability to concentrate and anticipate the action that counts.

My photos have appeared in Sports Illustrated, People Magazine, Time Magazine, The Really Big Ten Magazine and Sport Magazine. Also the football programs at University of Michigan, Michigan State and Western Michigan University. I am also the official photographer for Derek Jeter's TURN 2 Foundation, and teach the Sports Photography class at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts.

I have had the opportunity to photograph the action at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta; the Detroit teams - Lions, Pistons & Tigers; the Chicago Bulls, Chicago Bears Chicago White Sox and Miami Dolphins; as well as the New York Yankees.
