I write young adult historical fiction.  As a teen my imagination constantly roamed to distant lands and times, and now that I’m older the past is pretty much all I want to write about.  I’m crazy about gothic tales of haunted people, doomed love, dark secrets and repressed passions -- rest assured you’ll find many of these themes in my own writing.

My debut novel, The Revenant (Knopf 2011), is a Victorian ghost story set in a Cherokee girls’ school in the old west.  Stay tuned for updates.
