SISKIYOU ART STUDIO

These works of fine art range from Visionary Dreamscape's, Psychedelic and Surrealistic, to Landscape Realism.

Lane has now, for a number of years, used Oils and an Alkyd-based medium, finding the flexibility and toughness contributing to long archival characteristics for those pieces. This includes the application of thin transparent glazes where the depth and subtle color changes can only be appreciated in seeing the painting first hand! This, combined with the finest quality pigments and substrates such as true portrait Linen, fine woven Hemp or Wood Panels. Assuring that all works have been executed using the finest ingredients and materials obtainable at the present time.

Outdoor or indoor murals can be done in a modular fashion allowing the removal and transport of sets to different locations. They are painted using a fine quality exterior Acrylic. All exterior mural work is completely final coated with a water-based polyurethane with built in UV protection. This technique encourages the longevity of each piece over the years with minimal fading and environmental damage.

Posters and Logos may be arranged. All are done by hand using Pen&Inks and or Colored Pencils. Afterwards, “fine tuned” with the utilization of digital technology.

Lane has designed a number of tee shirts, hooded sweats and hats. Many of these, designs for different events and of endemic wildflowers native to his area. Some of these shirts, called “Siskiyou Wear” can still be obtained through the artist.

Siskiyou Art Studio, will be happy to discuss any and all ideas you may have and accepts commissions. A few of the pieces pictured on these web pages are still purchasable and can be negotiated.
