Scott Nelson Productions is a full service video production company located in Bend, Oregon. Scott brings the artistic eye of a recognized and well published still photographer and photo-journalist to the world of motion.
Describing himself as a digital story-teller, Scott shoots High Definition with the Panasonic AF100 SDHC 4/3 camera or the new Canon 7D HDSLR.
SNP specializes in on-location video production and still photography. Assignments have taken Scott literally around the world for a variety of clients with productions shot in Russia, the Yukon and Alaska, South Africa, Turkey, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Zimbabwe, New Zealand and at least three dozen different States. In Oregon and throughout the Northwest, he utilizes a wide range of resources to shoot for a variety of corporate and broadcast clients.
Scott has photographed the Space Shuttle, heart transplant operations, coal mines in Southern Utah, computer flight simulation programs for airlines and air forces around the world, celebrities such as Robert Redford and Bruce Springsteen and athletes like Joe Montana and Lance Armstrong.
He produced a documentary on an African bow hunting safari, flew with the RAF over the North Sea, traveled above the Arctic Circle in Russia to photograph Atlantic Salmon on the Kola Peninsular and flew down under to the North Island of New Zealand to film a Red Stag adventure.
Back in the states he regularly shoots for the Golf Channel, CNN, Discovery Network and numerous interview based programs.
Scott carries a passport and is highly experienced in international travel and shooting. He is as comfortable in a Fortune 500 boardroom as he is in a hospital operating room, a locker room or on a sound stage directing a ten-man crew.
A recent documentary project celebrates 100 years of Bend, Oregon history with interviews of many elderly lifelong residents of the area recounting stories of their youth in an evolving logging community.
He also completed an emotional production for the Veterans Administration in San Diego. Injured Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans took part in a Summers Sports Clinic as a way to speed their rehabilitation.
Scott is available for worldwide assignments as a director, DP, cameraman, editor, writer and still photographer.
